Traveling to Guangzhou

DSC01425 Traveling to Guangzhou

We’re getting ready to fly to our last stop in China today, the city of Guangzhou, where the US embassy is. There, we will get Lily’s final papers for us citizenship.

Going out continues to be pretty hard. Yesterday brought some major issues. Strangely enough, as soon as we stepped into the room and it was just us three, Lily’s behavior was almost heavenly.

We still don’t know most of what Lily is saying and we can’t use our guide, for rather than just interpret for Lily, she just tries to take her out of our hands. We know that our guide, Lily, is really well-meaning, but this just seems to really hurt the bonding process of parent to child. We’ll get a new guide in Guangzhou, so we are really hoping and praying that this is the end of that problem.

Today is probably going to be tough. Thanks for your prayers.

Hey David, Angela, and Lily! We just wanted you to know that we are praying for you daily! She is too precious. I could just kiss that little face when she is sleeping with her little sweet pea pajamas. We pray everything goes well today and for the remainder of the trip. I can’t wait to hold little Lily! God Bless you All! Much Love, The DuBois Family

    David, Angela and Lily,

Thanks for keeping us all up to date on what is going on with you as you begin your new family bonds. I am confident that Lily knows already in her heart that you are indeed the parents she is suppose to be with. She is precious and beautiful and I can’t wait to kiss her in person.

Sarah and Kathryn are such Angels and Bill and I have so enjoyed having them with us. The plan is now for us to pick them up on Sunday and keep them for the remainder ( I think) of your trip. They love you and miss you, but we are doing our best to make them know how loved and treasured they are.
    Be safe,

    Aunt Susie

Hang in there-I can imagine your frustration with that issue, but all the time you spend there is only a small fraction of the bonding process. Remember, Ella Grace screamed and cried when I tried to leave her with Frank while in China-what a distant memory now!

Shop til you drop in Guangzhou!!
